THE HOUSE SHOWING SIGNS OF COMPROMISE

BRAD MERRIMAN – JOURNALIST – TACD NEWS – The House of Representatives announced Thursday a plan that would raise the borrowing limit for the United States, this would avoid the government defaulting on its bills.  CNN sources say the GOP measure would extend the debt ceiling until November 22.  Today made day 10 of the government shutdown, however President Obama announced today that he “is happy that cooler heads at least seem to be prevailing in the House”.  This would be a welcome change after 9 days of back and forth finger pointing from both parties over the government shutdown that took effect on Oct 1st.

Republican leaders have stood firm on their need to defund or at least delay Obamacare, which had a key provision take effect Oct 1st.  GOP leaders will head to the White House this afternoon for talks with President Obama.
